Meet Kim

Kim Wu is an Acupuncturist licensed in California. She received her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Oakland at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in 2012. She later completed a Doctoral program (DAOM) that focused on Orthopedic Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine at ACCHS in 2021. Before becoming an acupuncturist, she was an Occupational Therapist, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida, and had worked for over 15 years in a geriatric setting. Her combination of western and eastern studies with her background in healthcare, enable her to have a unique perspective of the aging process and a keen ability to work with others to achieve their optimum health, wellness, and recovery. She has provided Acupuncture for Worker’s Comp in the East Bay, worked at a local Community Acupuncture clinic, an on-site health center in San Francisco, a private acupuncture practice, and a Chronic Pain department in Oakland. She is an avid baker and loves walking her dog. She plays piano regularly for seniors in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Care. Kim participates and supports art, music, local and cultural events. Kim can converse in some Mandarin Chinese and Spanish languages.
